28 Days to Timeliness

Are you tired of being the person who’s always late?
Do you wish other people could depend on you?

What if you could improve years of late habits in just 28 days?

This mom thinks you can:

“I’m notorious for being late so this book was a great find for me! As a Mom of two children under two, I don’t have much time to sit down and relax, much less read a book. However this book was addicting and I couldn’t put it down. Davonne’s personal stories make you feel like you really know and can relate to her. The book gives you a goal at the end of each chapter which is something that you can work on one day at a time until you too become a ‘Semi-Reformed Late Person.'” Lara Rodriguez

My Story

I started working on becoming more timely a few years ago, and I decided that if I could ever figure out how to be on time, I’d write a book about it.  In that time I’ve learned what makes late people late, I’ve talked with many timely people to discover their tips and tricks to being on time, and I have made significant progress in my own journey towards timeliness.

I took my own experiences and the lessons I learned, and I condensed them down into 28 short, easy-to-read segments that take just a few minutes to go over each day. The beginning of each segment contains an inspirational quote, and included at the end of every chapter is a practical course of action that can be taken to really initiate the discipline of being on time.

28 Days to Timeliness is also sprinkled throughout with confessions from my own life to help show how much I get it – being on time is tough!

Even incredibly organized people like Crystal Paine from Money Saving Mom glean good information from this book:

“Davonne and I might as well be two peas in a pod. She gets me. I laughed at her stories (I even shared her hilarious wearing PJs to church story with my husband — who thought it was so funny that he shared it at a recent family gathering!). I nodded my head in agreement with so many of her points. And I picked up new practical ideas for overcoming lateness.” Crystal Paine, Money Saving Mom

Sneak Peek:

As I have been paying attention to when and why we are late and learning to recognize patterns so that we can correct the issues, one thing I’ve noticed is that we were constantly searching for the same items. Where was the last place Lily read her Bible? Why can’t we find Grace’s church notebook? Where did we put Lily’s Girl Scout tunic? Who last saw our co-op homework?

One day I had an epiphany. I realized that if we always knew where these items were, we could easily save ten minutes every time we walked out the door. Thus the idea for the Grab-and-Go boxes was born.

The Grab-and-Go system revolutionized my reform! This system has helped me to be on time more than any other tip in my book. Read more about our Grab-and-Go System, and learn how to easily create your own, in Day 19 of 28 Days to Timeliness.

What Timely People are Saying:

“As a very timely person, I really enjoyed this book. I love love love the story of wearing PJs to church! Although I am rarely late, I really benefited from this book. I appreciated what Davonne had to say about why late people are late. I love that she didn’t offer excuses for her lateness, but rather took responsibility for it and committed to work on that. I think her advice is great, even for us timely folks. Most of all, her book helped me to understand my late friends and to give them more grace and encouragement.” Lisa Grimenstein
